The ProgressivePortal app is for people who are serious about politics, climate change, economic justice, income inequality, human rights, health care, education, etc. The app is for those who know climate change is real, and that it is already affecting the entire planet. It is for those who are tried of a broken Congress whose aim seems to reward campaign donors. It is also for those who believe a vibrant middle class is needed for the economy to be healthy and growing.

We created the ProgressivePortal 2014 Election Edition app to inform, educate and give the power to organize to those who believe that: voting matters, who is elected to Congress is important, and are willing to fight to preserve our democracy instead of having a government run by those with the most money. All elections are important, but the 2014 election will be the tipping point that determines the long-term fate of this country.

Each of us can become cynical; feel powerless as individuals to what is happening to our planet, our government, our society, or we can join together to make the world a better place for ourselves, and those who follow us. Our app wont change the world by itself, but it just might facilitate those who are willing to make their voices heard over those who are just willing to accept the status quo. We didnt create our app to make money, but to do something higher: to believe in the simple idea that we need to care about all the people around us; that their fate is our fate, and we need to join together to change the status quo and create the future that we all dream of.
